Great little tool that I use for a lot of different projects including trimming my dogs' toe nails. I bought this one to replace one that I'd had for more than 2. Spring broke on the lock button, $1. I easily ordered but couldn't wait for it to do a job. It wasn't exactly what I needed, but I find that just about every time I go to my shop I use it on something. I've even started sculpting a bear out of a chunk of wood and I've never done that before. My dremel makes it easy! The low speed has very little torque and stalls easily and the high speed is a bit fast for delicate work. If you plan to use a flex attachment the low speed torque is even worse and the high (3. This is where I landed with the 2. Series. It offered the consistent power a cordless couldn’t and was cost effective verse the higher end models with variable speeds. In the end, the 2. Series made quick work of the grout, using the excellent grout removal bit that helps guide and keep the bit at the proper angel. For this particular job, I will say the 5,0. RPMs wasn’t quite fast enough, making the bit jump around and the 3. RPMs certainly did the trick and quickly, but got dust everywhere. Just a word of caution, where safety gear and seal off your working area (keeping some ventilation). I have not used the 2. Series for any other job yet, but for the cost, I figured I’ve got myself a versatile tool for many odd jobs that pop up. Fine detail sanding and lawn mower blade sharpening are a couple that come to mind. I was refinishing a coffee table and couldn't remove the paint in the grooves of the legs. Purchasing this product was the answer. It's easy to put together, easy to handle and no problem with having to . The concept of the original Dremel Moto-Tool was to rotate a bit at high speed; the bit being held in a collet. Variable-speed versions may cover a range of 3,000–37,000 RPM. The Dremel concept relies on high speed as. The Dremel MM45 Multi-Max Oscillating Tool System offers both do-it-yourselfers and pros a versatile and effective multitasking tool.
